I’ve been gradually getting more and more frustrated with science. I feel it shares something with the way the word nature is misused and misLIVED. I’ve met many people think nature is something to like or dislike.  This is like thinking the womb you came out of is something to like or dislike. How bizarre! Nature is where you came from, the source. It created all the other humans that have led to you and it created you. If you feel anything but love for you source, you need to eat some psilocybin. That psilocybin will remind you that nature is something that every human is a part of, and nature is a part of every human. It is home.

Now, science has this problem as well, and it is intertwined. People who don’t like science tend to dislike nature. Again, nature is the source and nature is your location. People say, “Science isn’t my thing.” Science must be a misnomer. It should be called life. I am human, therefore I am biology, therefore I am science. Separating your mind from science is like disregarding your setting…it doesn’t make much sense. It’s not like disliking a room. You can move rooms. But you will always be in nature. But you are in a building, how can this be? You can tell yourself nature is avoidable by hiding in concrete, but eventually, tornados and hurricanes will prove you wrong. You are located on Earth.

mind, check. body, check. spirit?......

wow, this conversation has been happening in my head for a while now…but like everything in my head within the last year, it spirals in many directions

labyrintho:

A year ago, I was an extremely angry atheist. I believed, almost blindly, in the “rational man.” I believed that man’a duty was to figure out the secrets of nature, via science.

In the past month or two, I’ve in quite a different mindset… Modern man uses science as an excuse to rape, torture, and…

“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes.”

Marcel Proust, 1871-1922
